For Valentine’s Day I received several neat gifts, including a truck-load of beef jerky. Nothing says love like dried cow.
I also received Book 11 of The Wheel of Time, my favorite book series. I’m currently going through the books again (for the 12th time), this time listening to them. I would heartily recommend people read their first time through, but for me it’s been a nice change of pace, and I’ve even caught things I missed the other times through.
Anyway, as cool as the book, the jerky and all the other gifts were, I think my favorite was a monkey. But not just any monkey, this monkey:
His last name is Diggleby, and I named him Tasslehoff, after one of my favorite characters from the Dragon Lance series.
So, may I present Tasslehoff Diggleby. I have decided he is to be the official mascot of Monkey Barn, and as soon as I figure out how to put him in the title or over on the right he will look down on us from afar.
Obviously my favorite part is his eyes, which rest on his giant head. (Much like Barbie, if you tried to actually create a real-life monkey with these dimensions, he wouldn’t be able to stand upright.) There is simply no way you could stay mad at him.
I could come down to my room and see that someone ate all of my Skittles, and I’d be like, “Tasslehoff J. Diggleby, did you eat my Skittles??????” And he’d look at me with those eyes and I’d be all, “Awwwwww. How can I stay mad at you?”

What does the 'J' stand for?
Possibly the best thing Japan ever gave us is those big eyes~
