National Geographic Part 2

Now here are 5-1 of the National Geographic Videos of the Year. Make sure you watch.

#5 How Hurricane Katrina actually formed This video is actually well presented and fascinating. No politics or anything attached; just the facts.

#4 How New Orleans is on dangerous ground and could get destroyed by a Hurricane. What's so chilling about this video? IT'S FROM 2004. A must-watch.

#3 How to survive an Anaconda attack. Actual footage of just that. The best part is how the announcer "recommends" you not mess with anacondas. Really? Thanks, National Geographic! (I hear their method also works when chicks sink their fangs into you.)

#2 200 Lemon Sharks off the coast of Florida. The science behind all of this is fascinating (sharks go back to where they were spawned to mate and die), about how the lemon sharks have figured out how to avoid inbreeding, but the video would bore you. Way too sophisticated for my beloved MBMs.

#1 Bees battle giant Hornet. At first I thought this was just a retread of a video I showed last year; hornets wiping out a colony of bees. Even the script seemed the same. The difference was that the former video had this announcer with a cool voice. I was going to find and just show that one....and then they get to part two, where the bees fight back. One of the coolest things you'll ever see. Plus, the camera work? Fuggedabout it. Hella sweet video. Good job, NG!
